Following a significant drug bust at Puipa'a, ten men and a woman have been accused; the authorities estimate the street worth of the drugs at SAT$50,000.

During the raid on a family residence on Tuesday afternoon, methamphetamine (meth) and ammunition were seized.

A group of police officers, some of them armed, and over ten police vehicles descended on a private property in Puipa'a.

When the raid was carried out, women and children were observed inside the family house.

The 11 people who were detained by police overnight have been charged with possession of narcotics, with additional charges to come, according to police commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo, who verified this when contacted by Eyespy Radio yesterday.

He said that they were waiting for the court registrar so that the accused may submit a bail application when asked if those detained by the police were still in jail or had been freed.

According to a statement released by the police on Wednesday, the operation resulted in the seizure of a sizable amount of meth and ammunition, with the substances' estimated street value being SAT$50,000.

Additionally, the police seized SAT$23,000 worth of cash and jewelry.

"SPPCS' dedication to preventing the distribution of illegal drugs and the possession of dangerous weapons is demonstrated by the efficient execution of this raid at Puipaa."

There have been numerous allegations, according to a nearby resident, alleging drug-related activity at the home that was the subject of the Tuesday raid.

Another villager asserted that the tinted vehicles seen in the neighborhood belonged to people who frequently visited the Puipa'a residence.
