After more than three years of building, the gas station next to the Tuanaimato Samoa Fire Emergency Service branch has finally opened.

The government owned gas station was a major project approved by the Cabinet and Parliament during their present leadership. It has been constructed for many years and is now finally open for the whole Samoan populace.

Decades ago, government previously owned bowsers were closed down for reasons, and another in Tuanaimato.

In a speech by the Minister of Women, Community and Social Development, who is also the former Minister of Finance, Honourable Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molio’o, stated that the project was drafted and finalized after the superb increase of Government-owned vehicles and during natural disasters faced by the region. Samoa’s time of shortage in resources is in times of natural disasters.

“I acknowledge the help and support of the Pesega Service Station and TNN Toleafoa Service Station, of their service in the long years,” Mrs. Molio’o said.

“The whole project consists of $3 MILLION tala including the lease of the 1-acre lands and the building of the Petrol Station on its ½ acre.”

“In forward decisions, the next half of the land will be an office to store and keep all files and folders of the Ministry of Finance, as an archive store-office”

The program of the day kicked off with a welcoming service ceremony to the end where the first vehicle to be filled is Her Honourable’s transport to open and make sure the bowsers work.

Amongst the attendees include the newly appointed Minister of Finance, Honourable Lautimu’ia Uelese Va’ai, Hon. Mulipola Anarosa, SIFA officials, Private Browser owners, and many others.
