Car Crash In Lefaga Sends Family Of 8 To Hospital

A car carrying two adults and six children crashed and flipped over in Safaatoa, Lefaga on Thursday morning.

A family of eight, two adults and six children, were rushed to the hospital after their car crashed and flipped over in Safaatoa, Lefaga.

A Facebook account under the name Gafa Finau shared a photograph and a video captured at  the scene of the crash.

The photograph shows a gray coloured vehicle, possibly a van, lying on its roof on the roadside.

The video shows children being carried away from the car wreck.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning when it was was raining, the witness said. 

The person who posted the footage said the area where the accident occured is slippery and very dangerous when wet.

Numerous vehicles traveling at high speeds have crashed in the location before, the witness explained in a statement posted with the footage.

People have died in fatal car accidents in the area right in front of their home, the witness added.

She asked motorists to slow down and drive safely.

The witness said she and her brother drove the parents and six children to the hospital.

The children suffered some injuries in the car crash, the witness said.
