TRAGIC START TO THE NEW YEAR

14 January 2022: It has been a sad start to the new year for a Vaiaga family.

A source close to the family has confirmed that Faafiti Mulipola Faafiti Seumanutafa drowned while swimming in the Waikato River in New Zealand on 3rd January 2022. Details of how this occurred are not known.

Faafiti, a 36 year old male moved to New Zealand in 2019 under the NZ Quota Scheme.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints(LDS Church). His body is expected to arrive in Samoa tomorrow, Saturday 15 January. His family service is to be held next Monday and final service on Tuesday 18 January.

A sad start to the new year following this tragic event.
