The 35th Digicel Marist St. Joseph International Sevens Tournament recently concluded in a whirlwind of exhilarating rugby action. Over the course of three thrilling days, the tournament showcased the best of sevens rugby talent, with teams from across the region competing fiercely for the ultimate glory. From the under-18 boys' category to the women's and men's finals, the tournament unfolded with moments of sheer brilliance, culminating in Fiji Development's resounding victory.

Day One - Under-18 Showdown: 

The tournament commenced with an explosion of youthful enthusiasm as the under-18 teams took the field for pool matches, quarterfinals, and semifinals. The competition was fierce, and teams left no stone unturned in their quest to secure a spot in the finals. Amongst the outstanding contenders, Aleipata College and Leulumoega College emerged as the frontrunners, showcasing exceptional skills, teamwork, and determination.

Day Two - Men's Playoff Battles: 

The intensity escalated on the tournament's second day as the men's teams took center stage. With the playoffs in full swing, spectators were treated to a series of adrenaline-pumping matches that showcased the finest aspects of sevens rugby. The teams displayed incredible speed, agility, and strategic acumen, leaving the crowd in awe of their talent.

Day Three - A Grand Finale: 

The third and final day of the tournament marked the culmination of three days of fierce competition. 

 In a thrilling final for the under-18 boys, Aleipata College demonstrated their mettle, emerging triumphant over a valiant Leulumoega College team, etching their name in the tournament's history.

In the women's final, the Savaii Queens faced off against the determined team, No Idea. The Savaii Queens showcased their exceptional skills, displaying excellent teamwork, agility, and precision. Their relentless pursuit of victory paid off as they triumphed over No Idea, earning a well-deserved victory and cementing their place as champions of the women's division.

The men's final was a spectacle to behold, featuring a clash between Fiji Development and BBE Vaiala. Both teams demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, leaving no doubt as to why they had reached the pinnacle of the tournament. However, it was Fiji Development that proved to be unstoppable, outplaying their opponents with their speed, coordination, and astute game plan. Their outstanding performance propelled them to a resounding victory over BBE Vaiala, securing the prestigious men's championship title.
