FROM GOLD MEDALS TO RECORDS LIFTED: SAMOA'S WEIGHTLIFTERS SHINE IN DELHI

Delhi, India - Samoa's weightlifting team has printed their names in history with an outstanding performance at the Commonwealth Championships 2023. Led by Don Opeloge's remarkable display of strength and skill, the Samoan weightlifters secured multiple gold medals, shattered records, and cemented their country's reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the sport.

The journey to success began when Nevo Ioane won Samoa's first gold medal in the Men's 67kg category. Ioane's dedication and perseverance paid off as he showcased his exceptional talent on the international stage, bringing pride and honor to his nation.

The Samoan women also made their mark at the Commonwealth Championships, particularly in the Women's 87+kg category. Iuniarra Sipaia clinched the gold medal, while Lesila Fiapule earned a well-deserved silver medal.
