German Embassy Assists Paia Primary School in Partnership Program.

The German Embassy has completed a partnership project with Paia Primary School in the big island of Savaii.

The project was launched last Wednesday and focused mainly on improving the learning environment and facility of the institute in terms of sanitation and educational development.

This included construction work that was up to $14,000 Samoan Tala worth of floor tiles for the classrooms , hall and sanitation facility such as wash sinks and toilets for the school .

A contribution handed out by The German Embassy in Wellington which also had Mrs Deborah Yaakoby as their representative to attend this special occasion.

"Samoa and Germany have a very special connection and therefore I am so glad that my first visit to the Pacific Islands is to the Pearl of the Pacific - a truly magical place" stated Mrs Deborah Yaakoby.

She also highlighted that during the height of the pandemic it has reminded everyone the importance of hygiene in keeping our body and mind healthy.

Acknowledgements by Iuni Ah Ching the Principal of Paia Primary School were expressed towards The German Embassy on this partnership project. "With this project the students at Paia now can better enjoy learning inside the classroom"expressed Iuni Ah Ching.

She also mentioned how enjoyable the new learning environment is for the children and how happy the students are in maintaining health and hygiene cleanliness.
