The Vodafone Marist Independence Mega Raffle culminated with Muagututagata Anesi Fa'alafi being declared the winner of the Ford Raptor Next Generation 2023 vehicle at Vodafone Samoa's headquarters in Maluafou after months of waiting and anticipation.

During an interview with Eyespy Radio, Muagututagata, 59, declared, "All the glory goes to God for this blessing." I've been stressed out all week since my 24-year-old daughter is getting married today.

"Words cannot express how happy I am right now," he remarked, "but I want to thank MBOPA and Vodafone for creating promotions like this which have blessed ordinary people like myself."

In addition to commemorating Samoa's 60th Independence Day and generating money for Marist schools in Samoa, the raffle was a collaborative campaign between Vodafone Samoa and the Marist Brother's Old Pupils Association (MBOPA).

The primary prize was a Ford Raptor worth $270,000.00 tala, and the raffle tickets were sold for 1 tala each. The promotion began on June 24th, 2022, and ended on March 29th, 2019, respectively.

11 fortnightly prizes were also given out during the marketing period in addition to the mega prizes. 

"We are happy to witness the enthusiasm surrounding the achievement of the goal of obtaining necessary finances for the Marist schools. All proceeds from ticket sales will be given to Vodafone in full.Our fundamental principle is to give back to the Samoan community through a variety of charitable endeavors in the fields of education, sports, health, and responsibility, according to Mr. Bose.

The MBOPA President, Tuatagaloa Aumua Ming Leung Wai, expressed his gratitude for the joint promotion by adding that despite the difficulties they had to face over the previous nine months, their faith in God and the support of their sponsors and families helped them to persevere.

"The proceeds from the raffle will be used to support the improvement of our Marist Schools. Special thanks to Vodafone for joining the cause."
