NAYDITH EVENTS SPONSORS IV.F VA'A WORLD DISTANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
We are pleased to announce that Naydith Events Hirage is the official Major Sponsor for the IVF Va'a World Distance Championships. The General Manager of Naydith Events, Auimatagi Henry Faolotoi and Event Director, Su'a Jay Ah Fook both met to sign the sponsorship agreement.
As a once avid paddler himself, Auimatagi shared his excitement to be able to support this elite sporting event. However the excitement also comes with new challenges to be faced by Naydith Events Hirage in terms of setting up in many various areas of the competition including some tricky areas such as the Apia Beach in front of the Apia Protestant Church.
Another exciting feature of the event will be the live broadcast. Naydith Events Hireage has provided a 3x4m LED Screen which is set up on the main stage of the Va’a Village (Friendship Park); this will enable everyone to follow the race as it is a marathon race.
Su’a expressed his deep gratitude to Auimatagi and his crew for coming on board, an event on this type of scale requires a lot of hard work and effort, “We have 2000 people coming, we need a lot of tents, tables, chairs, porta-loos, lighting, security barriers and so much more – we have turned to Naydith as their reputation for their hard work and professionalism is close to none in Samoa and we are looking forward to working together and making Worlds 2023 a success for all involved.” Su’a also wanted to acknowledge that most of this work happens after hours and thanks Auimatagi and the crew for all the sacrifice they have and will be taking during the event.
The IVF Va'a World Distance Championships commences on Thursday 10th August with a Canoe Blessing before the teams will have their turn trying out the new canoes on Samoan waters. The Opening Ceremony will be on Saturday 12th August with all races to begin on Monday 14th until Friday 18th August. The races are divided into 10 different divisions with a Para Mixed Division for persons with disabilities also included in the event.
