Netball Samoa Ready For 2023 Season

Netball Samoa is gearing up to host some of its annual netball competitions and upcoming events such as the Netball Association Cup 2023 which will be held on island in September.
In a press conference with the media last Friday morning, Netball Samoa announced some of its local and international tournaments set out for this season.
Netball Samoa's High Performance Coordinator, Tusi Faasootau Ale conveyed during the press meeting that this year is a very busy year for them.
"Our local tournament or the Samoa Netball League is set to commence on the first of April,"
Ms. Ale further conveyed that there will also be a business house tournament such as the "Battle of the Banks" Competition.
It is the hope of Netball Samoa to scout elite players through this annual local tournament for Samoa's national netball team for the upcoming Pacific Games.
When asked on some of the challenges Netball Samoa face when coordinating these tournaments, Sports Development Manager Justine Wilson stated that there arent enough umpires to officiate some of the matches.
"Most of the umpires we have for these local competitions play as well. We urge members of the public or any individual who wants to be an umpire to visit our website and learn how to be an umpire.
