N.U.S. raises WST$54,350 for Savaii Campus Bus

The National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) raised over WST$50,000 through fundraising during the weekend for a bus for the university’s Savaii campus.

The TVTHON was held on Saturday at two locations, which were the Salelologa Market in Savaii, and in front of the Government Building at Matagialalua.

According to a statement issued by N.U.S., the programme was broadcasted live on NUSTV8, NUS Facebook and the following local radio stations: 91.1 FM and 107.4 FM from 8 am until 3 pm.

A fundraising event was also held in New Zealand where the N.U.S. President and Vice Chancellor Aiono Professor Alec Ekeroma joined the N.U.S. Fundraising Community in New Zealand which was held at the Talimana'o Function Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, at 279e East Tamaki.

A total of WST$30,600 was raised in Samoa while NZD$14,000 (WST$23,750) was raised in New Zealand bringing the total to WST$54350.
