Speaker Papalii led the first visit of the Samoan Parliament to Tasmania, Australia.

This visit was led by the Speaker, Hon. Papalii Li'o Oloipola Taeu Masipa'u, and will last from March 27th to March 31st, 2023.According to the information document issued by the Samoan Parliament, the Speaker, two other MPs, and members of the Legislative Assembly's Office are taking part in this visitation. Participating in this journey are the Member for Anoamaa No. 1 -Honorable Alaiasa Moefaauouo Malagaitutogiai Sepulona Moananu, and the Member for Gagaemauga No. 2 - Goodbye Seuamuli Fasi Toma, who is also the Assistant Minister of Women & Women, Development of Community & Social. The statement read. Members of the Legislative Assembly's staff, including the DeputySecretary of the Legislative Assembly, Honorable Lesa YonitaTuia-Tauiliili, the Head Office of the Service Division of Financial Management, Tofa Foundation of the Nation Beniamina Tuisugaletawa, and the Main Office for International Parliamentary Relations, Ms. Elizabeth Talagas. The Central Office of Parliamentary Organizations of the Commonwealth Established this partnership in the Parliament of Australia and the Pacific in 2007 to help expand support and communication between the Parliaments of Australia and the Pacific region. Under this program, the Commonwealth of Tasmania and Samoa's Parliamentary Organizations branch is strengthening its collaboration in the development of support to the two Parliaments, including the promotion of programs to develop the skills of Members in parliamentary work, particularly the sharing of special skills for the Staff to improve the support service provided to the Parliament. It also includes training to promote the Parliament's work and responsibilities. This year marks the end of a 15-year collaboration between the Parliaments of Samoa and Tasmania. Parts of the program organized for the Honorable Speaker's Papalii Taeu Masipaua , two Ministers and members of the Legislative Office Will be attended to witness the Proceedings of the Tasmanian Parliament, in the activities to deal with the director of the Time of Questions and Answers, of Debates on Special and Inter-Membership Matters.
