SOE Business Hours on Sunday relaxed.

The opening hours for Supermarkets and Small Shops, Hotel Bars and Swimming Pools, and beaches on Sunday has been amended.

The rest of the State of Emergency Orders are still in effect.

The opening hours for Supermarkets and Small shops are from 6:00am -10.00pm on Sunday. Also hotel bars, golf, swimming pools will open again in normal hours on Sunday.

Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa confirmed the extended hours during her weekly press conference with the Samoa media.

This Order has been commenced on 20st December 2021.

The Samoan government has relaxed a number of restrictions brought in to limit the spread of COVID-19. Under the new regulations, restaurants and night clubs had been restricted to 10pm from Monday to Wednesday, and 11pm from Thursdays to Saturdays. The relaxed hours will see restaurants and night clubs allowed to remain open until 1pm from Monday to Friday, and 12am on Saturday. Bingos are now also back for Saturdays, to close by 12am.

International passenger flights remain limited to repatriation and emergency flight services except American Samoa. Flights have been suspended between Samoa and Australia, Tonga, Fiji, and NZ

As of Tuesday, December 21 2021 , Samoa has not confirmed any cases of COVID-19. Further international spread of the virus is to be expected over the near term.
