Roberta Tiatia Tuilaepa wins $50,000 worth of Whiteware appliances
Roberta Tiatia Tuilaepa from Nu'u is the winner of Vodafone Samoa's Let's Celebrate Good Times Promotion for Upolu, taking home the grand prize of $50,000 worth of Whiteware appliances.
Ms. Tuilaepa was one of the five finalists from Upolu. They were selected from a pool of entriesof those that: Top up $10 or more; Purchase any device; Recieve minimum $100 from Australia and New Zealand in their M-Tala account.
The finalists had to spin the wheel that had the grand prize on it, and Ms. Tuilaepa was the winner.
The programme was held at the Vodafone Headquarters at Malua Fou on Tuesday and was attended by the Asssociate Minister of Communications and Information Technology Fiono Tenina Crichton, Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B.) Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, and the C.E.O. of Unit Trust Samoa (U.T.O.S.) Tevaga Viane Tagiilima.
In an interview with Eyespy Radio on Tuesday, Ms. Tuilaepa said she feels happy that she had won $50,000 worth of Whiteware appliances.
"I never that I would be in the draw," Ms. Tuilaepa said.
She said that her first pick out of all the appliances would be a television, and would also like to get air conditioners for her house.
"$50,000 is a lot of money," she said.
"I would like to say thank you to Vodafone Samoa for the opportunity because you just go Top up.
"You always hear of these big draws and you think I will never wion, but just keep doing it.
"Thanks for opportunity and for what they do to give people what they don't have."
Asked if she had any thoughts of giving some appliances away to others she said: "$50,000 is a lot of money, a lot of appliances if you think about it, unless you're gonna get sometning thats 10,000 each but I am open to that."
There will be a similar event in Savaii on the 9th of June to decalre the winner from Savaii.
