Samoa Fiafia Park opens Samoa Raceway
Samoa's first ever Go Kart track "Samoa Raceway" has officially opened and welcomes everyone to try out the 300 meter race track.
The raceway had opened last week and is owned by Tupai Bruno Loyale, The raceway is located within the Samoa Fiafia Park at Tafaigata.
The raceway has 18 Go Karts from Germany but only 7 or 8 are allowed on the raceway.
In an interview with Eyespy radio on Wednesday, Tupai said that he is happy it has been opened as it was a challenge building the raceway.
"The boys did a great job, all of our boys worked on it and I am very very happy and it came out better than what I expected," Tupai told Eyespy Radio on Tuesday.
"Its really really good."
The raceway opened on Saturday but people still went to the raceway despite the heavy rain
"We still had quite a few customers come and I was very happy to see the response of people, everybody seemed to have enjoyed it," he said.
Each race will be eight minutes, and Tupai explained that the Go Karts run on LPG Gas which is considered to be clean energy.
"Its LPG which makes them a little bit more expensive to operate too, and you get good speed, and these are fast, they are really fast," he said.
To be able to drive the Go Karts, Tupai said you will need a drivers license. If you do not have a license then you will have to get a Fiafia License for $5 after training on the training course.
"Because these are really fast, [...] you get a helmet, you get glasses everything," he said.
Tupai said that the raceway is something new, unique, and it is something of extreme fun.
He invites the public to visit and the Samoa Raceway and try out the Go Karts and enjoy the Samoa Fiafia Park which will be opened on Friday and Saturday.
