SAMOA STRIKES GOLD TWICE: IOANE AND TAFI SHINE ON DAY ONE OF OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS

On the opening day of the Oceania Senior & Junior Championships & Olympic Qualifiers 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand, Samoa's weightlifting stars, Nevo Ioane and John Tafi, have already made their mark with outstanding performances, clinching gold medals for Samoa.

Nevo Ioane's Victory:

Nevo Ioane, competing in the Men's 67kg division, displayed remarkable strength and skill, securing Samoa's first gold medal of the championships. Ioane's determination and technique were unmatched as he dominated his category, setting a high standard for the rest of the competition.

John Tafi's Triumph:

Following Ioane's stellar performance, John Tafi continued Samoa's winning streak by claiming gold in the Men's 73kg division. Tafi's achievement not only highlights his exceptional abilities but also underscores Samoa's strength in weightlifting.

Awaiting the Rest:

With Ioane and Tafi setting a strong foundation on the first day of competition, anticipation grows for the performances of the remaining lifters representing Samoa.
