Sleeping Giant Films has planned a Toa Samoa Rally for Friday where the film production company will stage a massive Siva Tau performance ahead of Samoa’s Rugby League World Cup (R.L.W.C.) final against Australia.

The event is co-hosted by the Samoa Tourism Authority (S.T.A.) and Go The Manu.

Organisers invite all Toa Samoa fans to wear blue and “rally for our team” during the event happening at 4 p.m. at Friendship Park in Apia.

“Rally for our Toa Samoa with a sea of blue this Friday at 4 p.m. at Friendship Park in Apia. While we’re at it, let’s record the largest Siva Tau ever!,” Sleeping Giant Films says in an invite.

“Show our boys and the world how proud we are of them! Six-eight-five to the world!”

Fans are encouraged to bring their Samoa flags and “show our team we are behind them.”

In a separate event on Friday, the Apia Samoa Central Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has organised a Toa Samoa Parade at 4:30 p.m.

Stake President Jason Joseph invites members of its 11 wards to meet at Tuanaimato for the parade.

“And we're on! Apia Central get into the groove and show your support for our Toa Samoa, tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. from Tuanaimato to Vaisigano. Let’s go!,” he said in a statement.

“All the best Toa Samoa. We're riding with you! Inviting all to join if you are a pure Toa Samoa proud supporter! O ai le toa? O ai le toa? Samoa! Cheeehoooo!”

The Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services issued a statement on Wednesday advising the public to prioritise safety during parades.

Police are also in a celebratory mood and have advised the public this week to show their support for the Toa Samoa by taking note of their safety advisory.

“Show your support for Toa Samoa parade by taking note of our safety. Slow and sure is the best speed. Do not surf on vehicles! Prioritise your safety! Be like horse boy – slowly but surely!,” the statement from Police said.

“Do it the right way and enjoy with some responsibility! We want you to witness Toa Samoa bring home the World Cup! Working together for a safer Samoa! Toa Samoa forever!”

The Friday rally and parade are two of many Toa Samoa events, celebrations and parades taking place this week in Samoa, the Pacific region and across the globe in New Zealand, Australia and Samoan communities in the United States of America.

Support for the team has increased exponentially since Samoa defeated Tonga 20-18 on Monday, 7 November and in the semi-final when they upset England 27-26 on Sunday, 13 November.

Toa Samoa meets the Australia Kangaroos in the highly anticipated R.LW.C. Grand Final at 5 a.m. on Sunday morning.
