Game Fishing Competition 2021 Winning team: Anthony Pereira, Patrick Ah Him, Quentiin Sauaga, Captain Tuala Oli Ah Him

Team 2nd Chance are the overall winners of the 24th annual Samoa International Game Fishing Tournament last week.

Team captained by Tuala Oli Ah Him the team included the Angler Vaifale Patrick Ah Him and deckies Quentin Sauaga & Anthony Pereira.

This year’s competition featured two days of fishing, rather than the usual week-long festivities.

Every year, the Samoa International Game Fishing Association (S.I.G.F.A) hosts an International Tournament that attracts both male and female angler from around the world.

However due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and borders being closed, this year’s tournament is a local affair.

S.I.G.F.A International Tournament is the largest game fishing tournament held in the Pacific Islands in terms of angler participation more than 100, competing for cash and prizes.

The event is an opportunity to showcase Samoan hospitality and sportsmanship, friendship, fun, and most importantly, great fishing and prizes. Anglers compete in a week of competitive game fishing.

The 24th Annual Samoa International Game Fishing Tournament was sponsored by Taula, Apia Concrete Products and Samoa Tourism Authority.

OVERALL RESULTS:

1st place - 2nd Chance boat - 92.7 kg

2nd place - Fua II - 64 kg

3rd place - Sea Lord - 63.8 kg
