Traffic was blocked for some time and the roadway was left strewn with debris.

Witnesses told EyeSpy the Ford Ranger was traveling toward Sinamoga behind the sedan.

The Ranger struck the tail end of the sedan as it was turning off the road into a driveway.

The Ford Ranger then struck a third vehicle, a taxi cab that was traveling in the opposite direction.

The sound of the impact startled villagers who quickly converged at the scene.

Villagers helped the people who were involved in the accident to push vehicles off the thoroughfare and direct traffic before authorities arrived.

Officials with the Samoa Police Service (S.P.S.) and the Fire Emergency Services Authority (F.E.S.A.) responded to the scene of accident.

The male driver of the Ford Ranger was heard telling police that he was drinking alcohol (beer) before the accident.

Witnesses told EyeSpy speed was a factor.
