As the anticipation builds for the clash between Toa Samoa and the Kiwis, scheduled for Saturday evening on October 21st at 6 pm, fans are already in a frenzy. Auckland's Victoria Park recently saw an incredible turnout of Toa Samoa supporters, painting the park in vibrant red and blue during Toa Samoa's fan day.

The line-up for the Toa Samoa team was unveiled earlier this week, generating excitement among fans. Notably, Sualauvi Fa'alogo and Gordon Chan Kum Tong, who made their international debut against the Kangaroos last week, have earned a spot in the starting line-up once again. Fans are eager to witness more of their explosive performances on the field during the Pacific Oceania Championships.

Coach Ben Gardiner expressed optimism about his team's performance, highlighting the importance of learning from past mistakes. After a 32-12 loss to the Kangaroos in Townsville during the inaugural Pacific Championships, the team is eager to rectify their errors. Gardiner noted the significance of having former players involved, as their experience contributes to the understanding of what test matches entail.

Wearing a traditional "ie faitaga" (formal lavalava for men), Gardiner acknowledged the personal impact the team has had on him and vice versa. He emphasized the importance of upholding and respecting the culture, even in his role as a coach.

The much-anticipated match on Saturday is set to kick off at 6 pm, following two other exciting games. First, the NZ Kiwis A will face Tonga A at 1:30 pm, and then the Kiwi Ferns will go up against Tonga at 3:45 pm. It promises to be a thrilling day of rugby league action, with Toa Samoa fans eagerly looking forward to their team's performance in the evening showdown with the Kiwis.
