Charge’ d’Affaires Noriko Horiuchi and the dedicated staff of the US Embassy in Samoa recently took a break from their official duties to spread Easter cheer to the children from the Campus of Hope. The event, held at Charge’ de Affairs Noriko Horiuchi’s residence, turned into a vibrant affair filled with colors, games, and heartfelt moments.

For Noriko Horiuchi, Easter holds a special place in her family's heart, making the opportunity to share this joyous occasion with the children at the Campus of Hope all the more meaningful. She expressed her happiness at giving back to the community, particularly to children who have faced adversity at such a young age.

Lukas Jaaksen, also present at the event, took the time to address the children directly, emphasizing their significance, affirming their worth, and assuring them of love and care.

The festivities continued with an array of activities including Easter egg hunts, karaoke, coloring, and drawing. For the children, it was a rare chance to enjoy time outside the Campus, an experience they cherished deeply. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Easter egg hunt, where the children joyously searched for hidden treasures while dancing alongside the US Embassy staff.

This Easter Egg Hunt has become a cherished tradition for the Charge’ d’Affaires and the US Embassy team, playing a vital role in their rehabilitation programs for abused and abandoned children at the Campus of Hope.

Siliniu Lina Chang, President of SVSG, extended heartfelt gratitude to Charge’ d’Affaires Noriko Horiuchi and the entire US Embassy team for their unwavering support, especially for the children. These initiatives not only uplift the spirits of the young ones but also inspire them to overcome challenges and look towards a brighter future.
