Police officers suspended over alleged involvement in drug deal.

The Police Service has suspended three police officers over their alleged involvement in a drug deal being investigated by the Ministry.

The Acting Commissioner, Afamasaga Samuelu Afamasaga confirmed with Talamua the suspension and at least 23 police officers are under investigation for their alleged connection and the number is expected to rise.

The deputy commissioner said two others have been suspended from the traffic division while the other is working at the Faleata police outpost.

Last month it was reported that 31 police officers are under investigation on suspicion of drug cases.
