You Don't Need A Visa To Enter Israel

Samoan citizens will no longer need a visa as a condition to enter Israel starting on July 6th of this year.

Pursuant to the statement, Ran Yakooby, who is currently serving as the new Ambassador of Israel in Samoa, presented a letter of authorization to Honorable Le Mamea Ropati, a member of the Council of Deputies in Samoa.

The agreement between the two countries came into effect four years ago, in 2019, according to the document's details.

According to statements made by Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa in April, the length of time was prompted by a few clarifications that both countries required in concerning immigration laws and procedures.

Additionally, this agreement indicates that Samoan immigrants no longer need visas to visit Israel. In addition, the requirements for Samoan nationals who want to travel to Israel remain in effect for 90 days. 

A few Samoans traveled to Israel for employment or training, but the vast majority traveled as pilgrims who have meticulously adhered to the trajectory of the Christian faith.

Israel and Samoa have maintained excellent and moral relations since their international contacts began 47 years ago (1976), according to Ran Yaakoby, the new Israeli ambassador to Samoa.

Israel is no stranger in assisting Samoa in areas such as education , health care and also agricultural development under the Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV).

Ambassador Ran Yakooby who is based in Wellington , New Zealand has held many political positions in the Israel Government before being elected as the ambassador representative of Israel in Samoa.
