When it comes to women empowerment, BrownGirlWoke is what comes to mind. Founded by Maluseu Doris Tulifau, this inspiring movement started off as a workshop for young females; to inspire, educate and empower them to create productive and healthy communities, which then quickly grew to the phenomenon it is today. Not only do they provide females the opportunity to openly communicate their ideas on the world around them, but they are active in the community; holding food banks for families who need the most assistance, and redistribution of all donated goods to people in need. Let’s hear it for BGW, proving that girls really do run the world!
