Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti has confirmed that the body of Aoteroa Pesamino Mayer will undergo a coroner examination once a pathologist arrives in Samoa. This has brought the total of 5 bodies still waiting for a pathologist.

In a press conference on Thursday this week , Papalii briefed the media on updates about the TV3 former Manager and their follow up investigations. According to the Deputy Commissioner the matter is treated as a homicide case with no suspects confirmed.

"We have no suspects following the case , but investigations are ongoing, " she said.

Papalii stated that the Ministry received an advisory from the Coroner's Office to maintain the body under their authority (Coroner) for a surgical examination to be conducted on the deceased.

"The advisory we obtained stated that the inquest will be carried out on the 19th of July this year" stated Papalii.

There are now 5 cases currently at the Post Mortem awaiting for a pathologist to carry out autopsy procedures on their bodies. A request by the Ministry was given out to neighbouring island Fiji for an expert, who is expected to arrive this year without clarifications on an actual date.

Aoteroa Pesamino Mayers was confirmed to have passed away on Monday earlier this week , leaving a lot of the community heartbroken and bruised by her absence. Social Media in the beginning of this week was flooded with photos and posts by friends and loved ones of the Radio Broadcaster sharing some of their fondest memories with her.

Dawn DeLa NuevosDias one particular friend of "Roa" ,stated on a emotional Social Media post how Aoteroa helped her stay clean (rehab) , and mentioned that if it wasn't for Roa she would not be alive right now.

"I’m just hearing the news. Roa barely knew who I was in 2015. I made some posts about how I was struggling to stay clean. Without hesitation, Roa began to pick me up twice a week to take me to meetings. She called to check on me daily and became my friend instantly. One of the kindest people I ever knew and if it weren’t for her, I’m not sure I’d be around today in this capacity. I love you Roa" stated the emotional post by Dawn DeLa NuevosDias.

The Radio Polynesian and TV3 Family of Aoteroa Pesamino Mayers on Tuesday conducted a small memorial ceremony , reminiscing some of their treasured moments with their beloved manager and friend.

Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti stated that the public will be informed if anything is being reported. "We are also seeking your assistance in any information regarding the case at hand as we try our best to keep you updated." stated Papalii.
