ANZ Bank presented a public fund as part of the Samoa Cancer Society's early October event, "Pinktober" which honors patients battling cancer throughout Samoa.

The Samoa Cancer Society received a gift of 10,000 WST from ANZ Bank for their ongoing efforts to aid Samoan victims. The Hon. Valasi Luapitofanua Toogamaga Tafito Selesele, Minister of Health, Miss Samoa 2023–2024, the Samoa Cancer Society, ANZ employees, and several invitees were among the attendees.

According to an interview with Su'a John Ryan, the Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Cancer Society, public funding would be given directly to the management board in order to purchase additional equipment and related facilities to facilitate the duty.

"We have a team that goes out looking for people who need help but lack the resources or are physically unable to travel, for example, from Falealili to Fa'asaleleaga areas.”

“We need more people to do the work and this public fund will make all our mission proceedings possible.”

This Pinktober Month promotes people to collaborate with cancer fighters in their fight against the disease. Seeing patients in their latter phases is a difficulty in their workplace every year. Every year, the Society loses cancer victims, which is a tremendous rise.

The Samoa Cancer Society advises the public of the V3 (Vave Vili, Vave Va’ai, Vave Togafiti) strategy. In Samoa, cancer can be treated right away if it is caught in the early stages.
