DIESEL PRICES CLIMB FOR DECEMBER

Diesel increase by 17.2% per litre making it $3.99 to now $4.16 per
litre for the month of December.

Prices for Petrol and Kerosene have slightly reduced for the month of
December. As for diesel prices it has gone high according to the
latest price changes announced by the Ministry of Finance Mulipola
Anarosa Ale.

The price changes are set to come into effect on the 1st of December
and the Ministry of Finance made an announcement on Wednesday this
week. The prices for petrol has marginally decreased by a 17.4% cents
drop making it $3.51 to now $3.34 per litre. As for diesel it
slightly increased by 17.2% per litre making it $3.99 to now $4.16 per
litre. Kerosene decreased by 0.80% making it $3.58 to $3.57 per litre.

According to the Ministry of Finance Mulipola stated that there has
been distress about the global stagnation and has left the demands on
petrol and other petrol based goods disgruntling. The major cause of
diesel prices leads back to scarce supply and exchange from Russia to
Europe. This trade has affected the circulation of markets between
many countries who are receiving petrol from countries like Russia ,
USA and China.

Mulipola also stated that the The U.S dollar's strength against other
currencies is wreaking havoc in markets around the world and is also
impacting Samoa import prices. The Tala diminishing the 5 cent over
