Digicel Samoa marked a significant milestone today with the launch of a new cell tower in Lotofaga village, Upolu. In her address, the honorable Prime Minister, Fiame Naomi Mataafa commended Digicel Samoa for its commitment to community development, stating, “I congratulate Digicel Samoa for remembering the communities on this side of the island and bridging the digital gap that exists in our country. I can foresee the many benefits and positive impact this will have on the schools, businesses, and subsistence growth for farmers and fishermen, but also for families to stay connected to loved ones all over the world.”
The Lotofaga site is poised to provide coverage to over 1000 residents, delivering crucial connectivity and LTE coverage for both local and international communication needs. This development is particularly significant for the communities of Lotofaga, Saletoga, and Matatufu on the south side of Upolu, renowned for their stunning scenery, pristine beaches, and vibrant communities, making them top destinations for tourists and travelers.
