FARMER FATHER WINS DIGICEL GRAND PRIZE

Digicel Grand Prize Winner Tu'umatavai Lauama

Tu'umatavai Lauama of Falelauniu and Fasito'o-Uta has been announced the winner for Digicel's biggest grand prize yet - a luxury 2023 XLT Ford Ranger Truck. "Its the first ever car I owned" says the 66year old farmer. 

Speaking to the media on Friday this week after the presentation at the SNPF Plaza , Mr Lauama was overwhelmed with his well deserved award , officially making it the first car he has ever owned according to the winner. 

"Its beyond words , God has answered my prayers" he happily told EyeSpy after the handover. 

"I am grateful for this and it will assist my family tremendously in many ways. Thank you to Digicel for this golden opportunity" he added. 

Mr Lauama a father of 7 children also stated that his new prize will be put to good use and has acknowledged that God is the pillar of his success. "I give him all the glory" he emotionally said. 

The handover marked of one of Digicel's major promotion that in July last year called the "Freedom To Be" where the telecommunication company conducted a presentation ceremony on a rainy Wednesday to give out prices to 18 lucky winners. 

Among the presentation , families and loved ones of the 18 lucky candidates were presented with other electronic prizes such as jbl speakers , a tv and cash vouchers. 

Digicel Chief Executive Officer Peter Rigamoto handed over the Ranger keys to Mr Lauama and congratulated him on a job well done. 

"A well deserved win ," the CEO stated. 

The Gambling Control Authority and company Ford Hyundai Samoa were also present to witness the draw ceremony with Pastor Kurt Fatupito leading the event with a service and prayer.
