Police Truck flips in Tuesday afternoon traffic, took 3 lives.

A police truck flipped onto its side of the road at Tiavi during a crash in late afternoon Tuesday traffic.

A witnessed, told the Eyespy Radio that speeding is believed to be the most likely cause of the incident, which took place about 12pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Later this afternoon the Samoa Police Service confirmed this car accident.

The statement reads:

"POLICE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

Samoa Police, Prisons and Correction Services (SPPCS) confirms that POL.81 dyna truck crashed at Tiavi this afternoon.

We can confirm that three members of our Assets Division have passed away with one currently in critical condition.

We ask the public for your understanding whilst we are dealing with this tragic incident.

SPPCS will provide information in due time to answer any queries regarding this matter. '
