Manu Samoa and Moana Pasifika's scrum half, Ereatara Enari, arrived in the country on Thursday afternoon accompanied by his brother. The rugby player is here in Samoa for two weeks to spend the holidays with his immediate family.

"I arrived around midday yesterday, me and my brother, and I'm just glad to be back home again because the last time I visited was back in 2019 when I was visiting my grandparents," he said.

Ereatara, who is from the villages of Vaiala, Nofoalii, Lepa, and Safune in Savaii, says that playing in the Super Rugby Competition for Moana Pasifika has really helped him get closer to his Samoan heritage.

"I think one of the things that make Pasifika people different from everyone else is the culture, whenever we have team meetings and even before or after training and games we always give thanks and praise to Christ through "faigalotu" and "pesepesega."

When asked on how he feels about Samoan local player Miracle Faiilagi also joining Moana Pasifika for next season, Ereatara said that it is great news for Samoan rugby and also a great opportunity for Faiilagi to showcase his rugby talents.

"I know for sure he'll succeed if he puts in a 100% effort, and also playing on the Super Rugby stage is a  great platform to show the world that players born and bred in Samoa have what it takes to play against the world's top rugby players,' said Enari.

Eyespy Radio asked Enari about which player in the Super Rugby competition he doesn't want to get tackled by, he said, "Definitely Crusaders' flanker Ethan Blackadder. He's one of those farmer boys who's just a force to be reckoned with and someone you wouldn't want to run into one of his tackles."

Enari also took part in the previous Autumn Nations Cup where they went up against Italy, Georgia and Romania, and said that he's looking forward to the World Cup in Paris, France next year.

"We're in a very tough Pool D with England, Japan, Argentina and Chile. Hopefully we can emulate what the Toa Samoa achieved at the Rugby League World Cup this year," stated Enari.

Enari further added that they just finished rebuilding their family home in Vaiala, and said that he'll be doing a little planting around the family land.
