MARIST ST. JOSEPH'S SPORTS CLUB LAUNCHES 36TH INTERNATIONAL 7S TOURNAMENT: A CELEBRATION OF TRADITION AND INNOVATION
The Marist St. Joseph's Sports Club Inc. has set the stage for another exhilarating edition of the Marist St. Joseph's International 7s Tournament, marking its 36th year of sporting excellence. Under the theme "THE GREEN JOURNEY CONTINUES," the tournament pays homage to the pioneers who laid the foundation for this esteemed event. Toluma’anave Mathew Iakopo, the newly appointed Tournament Director, emphasized the significance of stakeholder feedback in shaping this year's competition, aiming to elevate both on-field performance and off-field experience.
"This year will be the first time the Club will host its famous sevens tournament away from its Lotopa home," Iakopo noted, signaling a new chapter in the club's journey. Despite facing challenges, the club remains resilient, viewing each obstacle as an opportunity for growth.

The 36th Marist St. Joseph's 7s Tournament, scheduled for June 21st and 22nd, 2024, at the Apia Park Stadium, promises thrilling rugby action. With the top eight teams from last year's tournament securing automatic qualification, the remaining spots will be determined through a rigorous screening process.
Prize money totaling SAT 15,000 for the men's competition and SAT 3,000 for the women's competition underscores the club's commitment to gender equality in sports. Affordable registration fees further demonstrate inclusivity, ensuring accessibility for teams across the spectrum.
