M.N.R.E and Oloamanu Centre Hold Customer Service Training Course
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in partnership with Oloamanu Centre for Professional Development and Continuing Education conducted a 5-day training course on Customer Service in the Public Sector from 30th January – 3rd February 2023.
The learning outcomes of the training course werto define customer service, differentiate two types of customers, to demonstrate knowledge of customer requirements and expectations, demonstrate knowledge of strategies use in enhancing customer service, discuss seven essential qualities of good customer service skills, discuss needs of providing customer service satisfaction, apply knowledge of handling customer complaints, demonstrate effective and efficient communication skills that will enhance the quality of service and applying knowledge of customer service in the local context.
The trainer of the program was Tevaga Tevita Amanaki Simeki, Professional Development Officer with Oloamanu.
Participants were from the WASH Sector’s Implementing Agencies and stakeholders such as Electric Power Corporation, Samoa Water Authority, Samoa Red Cross Society and also the Ministry’s Divisions namely Corporate Service Division, Water Resources Division, Division of Environment and Conservation, Environment Sector Coordination Division, Forestry Division, Spatial Information Agency, Land Management, Renewable Energy Division, Office of the CEO, Disaster Management Office and the Water and Sanitation Coordination Division.
