MNRE Celebrate "National Land Management and SurveyCommemoration Day"

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (M.N.R.E) on Tuesday this week celebrated its "National Land Management and Survey Commemoration Day" where 300 people attended to witness the Ministry hold a seminar presentation and showcased their work.

In its celebration , the Ministry highlighted core aspects from land surveying out in the field to office work such as registration , mapping and design. The event was also joined by students from
different schools who participated in learning to see if the field would be of any interest to their field of studies.

Also the event included theme entertainments to highlight the core message of the day , from thematic skits to environmental and land related music , activities and skits were also part of the celebration
on Tuesday.

The presentations of the day by both Divisions included aspects of , Technical Services (i) Land Surveying Services (ii) Spatial Quality Assurance (iii) Spatial Mapping Services and, for Land Management (i) Customary Land Leases, Government Land Leases, Land Registration Services, Land Valuation Services and Land Developments.

The commemoration also highlighted other core works that the divisions are offering to the public aside from land services which have tried to maintain the sustainability and administration of Samoan land.

"More importantly and also timely, the national recognition of this long overdue celebration of the coming of age of this most longevity of services by mandate under MNRE '' stated the announcement.

The attendees were given time to voice their opinions and questions regarding the longevity and works of the Ministry and its divisions.

This regarding the  highly interactive, participatory and inquisitive
due to complexity and sensitivity of issues related to land management
and technical service.

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (MESC), the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development (MWCSD), and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) together with all the invited Colleges which attended and the village community participants who were present for all your combined were acknowledged greatly by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
