Manu Samoa Sevens' head coach, Muliagatele Brian Lima, has announced his 13-man squad that will represent Samoa at the Hong Kong leg of the Sevens World Series.


This prestigious leg of the sevens series is held after every three years, and will kick off on the 4th-6th of November.


The announced squad features one new name in their ranks, Paul Stanley from local club Vaimoso Rugby. Mr. Stanley is a speedster identified by the Manu Samoa 7s coaches after the national athletics Champ of Champs.

He hails from the villages of Sinamoga, Vailoa and Moamoa. The youngster was also part of the wider Manu Sevens squad that competed at the Commonwealth Games this year.


Eyespy Radio contacted the youngster via Facebook messenger, to find out how he feels about being selected to play for Manu Samoa Sevens, Mr. Stanley replied that it is a dream come true for him to represent his home nation.


"I am truly honored and blessed to have been given this chance to play against some of the best sevens players in the world and also represent Samoa on the world stage.


The boys in Blue are placed in Pool A Nick named the pool of death with host nation Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
