Toa Samoa has defeated France with a 62-4 win
in Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington on Monday morning with Taylan
May scoring four tries for the match. This means Samoa has landed a
spot in the quarter-finals and will go against Tonga.

After a staggering start from the boys in blue , Samoa scored after
just three minutes from kick-off. With flawless passes from Anthony
Milford and Stephen Crichton to Taylan May giving way for hammering
tries for the team. Tim Lafai landed the first try , followed by Brian
To'o and then the rest was on to Taylan May the Panther winger setting
the scoreboard to 32-0 in the first half of the match.

France were unable to make many metres through the heart of the Samoa
pack, but were awarded a set restart about halfway giving them the
advantage to launch further their forward players. The French team
kept it up nicely, getting into perhaps the best field position in the
match but failed to solidify their defense in both halves.

The Toa Samoa pack appeared to show midway through the first half,
right when Taylan May went full kill - mode , with three tries, all of
which were converted by Stephen Crichton, giving Samoa a 28-0 lead at
the break.

Fond Yaha the winger for the Catalans Dragon with the only try for
France giving their fans a glimpse of hope in the second half.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough to chase the distance between them and
the Toa Samoa.

The result means Samoa finish second in Group A and advance to face
rivals Tonga in the first round of the knockout stages
