No.1 Currency Sponsors IVF World Distance Championships
Financial services company No. 1 Currency has formally committed to sponsoring the IVF World Distance Champs in 2023, as announced by the Samoa Outrigger Canoe Association (S.O.C.A) in a press statement released last week.
Event Director, Su'a Jay Ah Fook Schuster represented S.O.C.A at the presentation of the cheque on Thursday of last week. He stated during the proceeding that, "We are incredibly appreciative of No. 1 Currency's kind donation and dedication to continuing to support our regional athletes as they represent their country in international competitions".
Molio'o Pio Molio'o, the country general manager of No. 1 Currency, was present to endorse the donation.
Operations Manager, Lote von Reiche stated that No1 Currency Samoa is excited to sponsor the upcoming International Va’a Federation (IVF) World Distance Championships in Samoa.
"We are honored to lend our support to this event, which honors the rich culture and background of va'a in the Pacific. This sponsorship demonstrates our dedication to fostering cultural diversity and protecting customs for upcoming generations. The competition offers a singular chance to highlight the amazing abilities of Samoan paddlers and to interact with the larger global paddler community.
"We look forward to working with the Samoa Outrigger Canoe Association and the local community to ensure the success of the event and to promote our currency exchange brand, No1Currency.
"We would like to extend our best wishes to all the athletes participating in the competition and thank the organizers for their hard work and dedication in putting together such an important event. The $50,000 tala sponsorship agreement makes No. 1 Currency a Va'aalo Sponsor and the first private sector partner for the IVF World Distance Championships 2023, which will be held in Apia Harbour from August 10 through to August 19.
