The National University of Samoa's campus in Savaii, received a brand new van. The new vehicle will cater for the transportation needs of the students and also for class field trips and other educational-related activities.

The Honorable Minister of Education, Sports & Culture, Seuula Ioane Tuā'au, attended the gathering between his Ministry and N.U.S, and officiated the handover of the new Van. The new project was made possible due to a fundraising event by the Savaii Campus last June.

In light of this milestone, the university's Vice Chancellor, Professor Aiono Alec Ekeroma, thanked the people of Samoa including the National University of Samoa's partners, as well as those residing in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, and Hawaii, for their generous support and monetary contributions, which enabled N.U.S to purchase a van to meet the transportation needs of its students studying at the Savaii Campus.

The N.U.S Savaii Campus Manager, Afioga Mulipola John Lafaele, also expressed his gratitude upon receiving the key to boost the new NUS Savaii Campus in terms of transportation. "I am grateful and thankful that our students here in Savaii now have transportation for transportation for field trips and other school activities.

"Thank you once again to our University partners in New Zealand, Brisbane-Australia and USA for your kind donations, without it this project wouldn't have been made a reality," he said.
