Samoa To Face Heavy Rainfall
The Samoa Meterology Office has issued an update regarding the elevation of weather conditions the nation will face in the next couple of days with heavy rain advisory highlighted according to their observations.
According to the report issued on Tuesday morning this week it stated that a Trough of Low Pressure System (B) which provided rainfall activities in the past few days shifted south of Samoa.
"Meanwhile, a Convergence Zone (C) analysed North is predicted to enter the forecast zone later in the evening, maintaining rainy conditions through Thursday"the report stated.
"Therefore, the Heavy Rain Advisory remains in force for all areas. Anticipate fresh to strong winds by tomorrow, mainly over highlands. We’ll continue monitoring the situation and update accordingly" it added.
Impacts were also mentioned stating that Heavy downpours with poor visibility, foggy and slippery roads over mountain passes and ranges, pooling near roadsides and waterways, and landslides. Expect gusty winds at times.
The public has been advised to remain cautious and remain in safe areas , anglers and marine people have been advised to resume fishing when weather conditions ease down.
