SAMOA'S SENSE OF HOSPITALITY IS STRENGTHENED BY WORLD TOURISM DAY.
On Wednesday, the Samoa Tourism Authority held a World Tourism Fun Day and hospitality competition to mark the occasion and highlight the country of Samoa's top-earning sector.
The celebration was attended by more than 10 elementary schools from Savai'i and Upolu, and the program continued. Along with high-ranking hotels, eateries, and vocational tutoring organizations including Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC), C.C.C.S. School of Fine Arts Leulumoega, National University Samoa (N.U.S), and further institutions that lagged behind.
The competition include barrister or coffee-making, table and food decorations, cocktails and mocktails, smoothies, welcoming greets and more.
The purpose of the event was to move Samoa into a supportive atmosphere where schools begin teaching vocational subjects at the primary through tertiary levels. Samoan people are being encouraged by the government and the Samoa Tourism Authority to get more experience in order to improve the country's tourist sector.
The Associate Minister, Faleomavaega Titimaea Tafua, spoke at the morning ceremony on the value of hospitality and the contribution of the good, beautiful Samoa. One of the major things they anticipated witnessing was this occurrence.
The theme of the day, "Tourism and Green Investments" portrays the environment and its nature. The greens and the blues contribute in tourism. The colors attract tourists.
There is a connection between green investments and tourism that is frequently viewed as a means to solve climate change and other environmental issues while simultaneously bringing about economic advantages like job creation and economic growth According to the Associate Minister
Since COVID-19 hit Samoa, the biggest fall for the Samoa Tourism Authority was their source of income. Samoa was unvisited, when all borders were closed until 2023, The Samoa Tourism Industry has again risen to share the spirit of becoming tourism and hospitality learners.
The program was sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), Samoa Qualification Authority (SQA), National University of Samoa (NUS), Savai'i Samoa Tourism Association (SSTA), Samoa Hotel Hospitality Association (SHHA), Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) and the ogoing strong government sponsor, Vodafone Samoa.
