Schools show importance of T.V.E.T. through TikTok and Essay competition
The Ministry of Education Sports and Culture (M.E.S.C.) held a prize giving ceremony on Tuesday for their Technical Vocational and Education Training (T.V.E.T.) Online competition 2022.
The prize giving ceremony was held at the Taumeasina Island Resort.
Students in Year 12 and Year 13 from schools in Samoa were able to take part in essay and TikTok competition that highlight the importnace of T.V.E.T, with the theme "T.V.E.T. skills for a brighter future".
The Minister of Education Seuula Ioane said in his address on that everyone has witnessed the success that comes from T.V.E.T. courses such carpentry and visual art.
At the close of the competition at 12am on Friday the 10th of June, a total of 48 essays were uploaded to the Ministry's website link, 4 essays were hand delivered to the M.E.S.C. office and 19 essays were emailed to the M.E.S.C. committee.
The Ministry had received 14 TikToks from both Mission and Government schools.
