Three women charged for causing injury and assault.
Three women have been charged for causing injury and assaulting a mother of three.
The incident occurred on Sunday and the Samoa Police Services Acting Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo told Eyespy Radio on Tuesday that investigations have not concluded.
"All we can say is that the woman and her two children that assaulted this woman have been charged," Auapaau told Eyespy Radio on Tuesday.
He added that the three women have been charged with causing injury and assault and were arrested on Monday.
A post on social media had claimed that police did not respond to the incident, and when asked about this Auapaau said that they are currently having an internal investigation but preliminary finding show that Police had responded but according to Police the woman had told them that night and asked if they can wait until the next day as there is no one to look after her children.
He also stated that the mother is currently with the Samoa Victim Support Group (S.V.S.G.).
