Samoa BUreau reveals that Samoa exports records increase 58 percents .

The overseas merchandise Trade Report has reported that Samoa's exports have by 58 percent.

Pacific Island nation recorded $2.9 million in November last year compared with October 2021 but its trade deficit was $85.2 million for that period.

The report was issued by the Samoa Bureau of Stastics this week.

The total value of merchandise exports increased 58 per cent(or $2.9 million) to $7.9 million in November 2021.

The report stated that "In November 2021, the total value of merchandise imports of $93.9 million exceeded exports of $7.9 million resulting in a trade deficit of $85.2 million."

Furthermore, the report highlighted that the increase in exports for November was mainly driven by: fats and oils(up $2 million) mineral fuels, mineral oils and products(up $1.1 million) fish, crustaceans and mollusks(up to $0.5 million).
