Ex-ANZ Employee Pleads Guilty To Stealing $80,000 Tala
The Supreme Court has adjourned the case of the woman accused of theft while she was an employee of the (Australia-New Zealand) ANZ bank until the completion of other additional charges by the police.
Reports by the Police state that the defendant has pleaded guilty to stealing $80,000.00 tala from the ANZ bank.
It also said that the defendant admitted that the stolen amount was from one of the accounts that she made and pretended to be a request from someone for a loan.
But the bank conducted its own investigation into those funds and found new accounts, the investigation also revealed that it is suspected that the woman took about $1.2 million. The matter has been adjourned to the 3rd of April until additional charges are finalised as requested by the prosecution.
