Fiame Departs For Conference In London
This morning, Thursday 9 March 2023, the Prime Minister of Samoa, Hon. Fiame Naomi Mata'afa, has left the country for an international conference to be held in the city of London in the United Kingdom.
At the adjournment of the Parliament meeting this morning, the Speaker announced that the Prime Minister would leave the Assembly and proceed to prepare for her journey to the international conference.
The Prime Minister stood up and expressed her gratitude for the blessings announced relayed by the Speaker, especially the announcement of the purpose of her journey to the U.K.
The meeting Fiame will be attending is related to the Commonwealth of Nations, and will be followed by a meeting of Foreign Ministers which will culminate in the celebration of the Commonwealth Nations Day. The platform will also discuss the intention of Samoa's reception at the CHOGM Council in the year 2024.
On her return, Fiame will also visit Australia at the invitation of the Australian Government to establish and discuss the partnership between the two countries.
