P.F.T.A.C Assists Samoa
The Ministry of Finance held discussions with the newly appointed Director for the Pacific Technical Assistance Centre (PFTAC), Mr Samir Jahjah on his first country visit to Samoa.
PFTAC was established back in 1993 to promote and encourage macro-financial stability in Pacific island countries through focused programing of technical assistance and trainings.
PFTACs support has been instrumental in the development and strengthening of the Government public finance management (PFM) systems for Samoa.
On this visit, Mr. Jahjah intends to discuss the PFTAC support to the Samoan Government through various Ministries as well as future areas that PFTAC can provide technical assistance on.
Samoa has been a great beneficiary in support provided by PFTAC in the past 10+ years. We continue to acknowledge our close relationship with PFTAC and welcome their continuous support in strengthening institutional capacity to ensure macroeconomic and financial policies are properly implemented.
