Police Officers Complete Training Course

After spending a period of two weeks in Sydney Australia, Inspector Tagaloasā Toddy Iosefa and Principal Training Coordination and Program Management Officer Leone Filemu have returned home after they successfully completed the United Nations Train-the-Trainers Course for the New Specialised Training Materials for UN Police (UNPOL STM 2021) hosted by the Australian Federal Police.

The Train-the-Trainers Course is the second phase of the International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support Program by the United States Government International Narcotics Law Enforcement Bureau.

Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services Senior Officers were among the 11 countries that participated in the program. 

The Train-the-Trainers Course aimed; at capacity building for participants to train recruits from their home countries before deployments.

Both SPPCS senior officers hope to share their experiences with all police and corrections officers' efforts in elevating and enhancing our services and developments towards any peacekeeping missions in the future.
