SAMOAN CAREGIVER STOLE PATIENT'S MONEY
A nursing carer stole more than AUD$90,000 dollars when she was looking after a Quadriplegia patient whom she later on pretended to have an intimate relationship but was wiring money his money to another man in Samoa.
According to an Australian show called the "A Current Affairs" which aired an exclusive interview with the victim by the name of Peter Spickler , a father of two who lost both senses of his feet and hands due to a workplace accident said on the show
"Easter Aleli was my carer and she transfered my money into her account when she was working as a carer for me" the victim said hopelessly.
The two later on had an intimate relationship, but when Mr Peter Spickler checked his accounts and later on found out that his money has been withdrawn out in huge amounts.
Mr Spickler told 9News that Ester promised to pay him back money she loaned when he thought they were in a serious relationship. After 4 months of that loan a total of $87,500 was taken out that he did not approve of.
"She's evil , conniving" he told the interviewer.
"I truster her" when he was asked on his views about Ester Aleli. Records showed $40,000 was wired to a man in Samoa.
Aleli fought two counts of dishonesty obtaining financial advantage by defamation and deception she pleaded guilty to the offence carried out between late December and 2018 and April 2019.
"I only have about $450 left in my account " Mr Peter Spickler said emotionally.
The last time Ester made payments after a magistrates order was given to her was back in October to November last year.
Mr Peter Spickler has now hired an attorney to deal with his case and to serve him justice.
