SAMOAN FATHER REMEMBERED AS A HERO

A 44 year old Samoan man has died after a water incident at Shelly Beach in Australia on Saturday last weekend. 

He was trying to save the life of two struggling swimmers at Shelly Beach.

According to reports by Australia Broadcast Television 9News it stated that Talitiga Taupau drowned after attempting to save the life of two struggling swimmers at the beach on Saturday afternoon. 

It was reported that two swimmers were drowning and Talitiga lend in a helping hand , when things took a big twist and ended up in a tragic incident.

One of the victims included a man in his 20's who later on made it back to shore , while Mr.Talitiga and the other victim were later on rescued by lifesavers.

Reports stated that the two victims were later submitted to the nearest hospital, unfortunately for Talitiga Taupau was reported to have passed away just minutes after the rescue. 

Talitiga Taupau a father of six children and a brother to 16 other siblings. The heroic Samoan is also the uncle of Toa Samoa League star Martyn Taupau.

"He will be remembered as a true hero" stated Martyn Taupau to 9News in a emotional interview.

Words of condolences and memorial posts were uploaded by many online , saying "RIP Hero" and "You will be remembered as a HERO" as families , friends and loved ones of Talitiga posted with broken hearts.
