Vodafone Samoa Appoints Rana Bose as Chief Executive Officer

Vodafone Samoa recently announced the appointment of Mr. Rana Bose as its new Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rana Bose has been appointed by the Vodafone Samoa Board.

The Regional Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Pradeep Lal said “I am delighted to have Rana lead the Vodafone Samoa Team, he is an experienced telco professional with a strong business acumen. He has made a great impact to the business with his expertise and he has the full support of the Board and the Executive Team to take Vodafone Samoa to new heights, I would like to congratulate him on his new appointment.”


Mr. Rana has been a part of Vodafone Samoa since 2019. He has previously held the role of Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO), including his most recent role as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Acting Chief Executive Officer role. He brings almost two decades of telecommunication and Marketing experience and he has been instrumental in the transformation journey to position Vodafone Samoa as a trusted and respected ICT solutions provider.


Mr. Rana is originally from India and has pursed his Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is an active participant in a number of international forums like Pacific Islands Telecommunications (PITA) and Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC). He was also a judge at the PTC Awards 2023 in Hawaii with contestants from 40 nations in the Pacific Rim. He is married with one daughter.


Mr. Rana stated that “Vodafone Samoa is playing a fundamental role in nation building through digital transformation. As we move to a more digitized society, this transformation will be faster than ever before, and Vodafone will play a crucial role in providing affordable internet for both residential and business in Samoa. We will continue to bring new technologies in Samoa and continue to invest in our people and technology.”


The appointment came into effective from April 1, 2023.
